lyrics

Sitting under a vulcanized tree in the synthetic center
Big black boots coming up to my knees, big black eyeball protectors
I had just heard the sirens, a storm was approaching
When over the hill, something else was encroaching, and

I'd heard stories of people like her, and I thought they were scary
Mom and Dad told me just what they were: crazy reactionaries
They just walked 'round in nothing but togas and sandals
And kicked up a flurry of rumors and scandalous ways

Then the light flashed, it started to rain
She just smiled and held out her hand
I could see that it caused her no pain
How this was I could not understand
Old Age Girl

So I stood and together we ran to the foot of the valley
Where the people that she called her clan held a strange kind of rally
They were all joined in hand, they were sitting on stones,
They were peaceful and silent and soaked to the bone, they were okay

Then she whispered, "Do not be afraid..."
From my body contraptions were torn
On my face raindrops joyfully played
With a kiss she pronounced me Reborn
Old Age Girl
